the yjeet river, pronounced why-jeet, is the name of the black river circling the sacred mountains in the center of the territory. the river is the color of shadow itself, and is easily a famed location. it is one of the only sources of water, besides the stream running down the bottom of the canyon, making it a good bartering tool when other herds cause trouble. the territory can be hard to defend, because the river is about three miles around the mountain, so the herd mostly stays to the most southern side. holding this territory is a definite bragging right.

the canyon that outlines the fire territory is called none other than 'blood canyon'. the rock is scarlet, and the dust is very fine with a powdery crimson hue, like blood. the bottom of the canyon is hard to reach, because the walls are steep and dangerous to climb. if you're lucky, you can survive the journey to the bottom with your element helping you. the canyons are a good source of fresh water, but only some gorse actually grows along the inside edges. many a mare also find this to be a romantic place for them to meet a stallion, on the banks of the river running through the base of the canyon.

the nevanan badland is roughly the shape of a horseshoe with the open end up. the outline of the territory is made by a narrow yet deep canyon. the only way to enter the territory is to use your element to help, or to maneuver your way down one side of the canyon and up the other. the very center of the territory is a mountain region, though unlike most mountains it has absolutely no ice. the only water in the territory comes from a black river running along the foot of the mountain, circling it. between the dry mountains and the canyon is simply barren, rocky land with the occasional clump of black spruce or burnt ferns. the scorched plant life is a delicacy to the horses here, though it is near toxic to any other element.
